I’m Pregnant, What’s Next – Ripley, WV
If you think you are pregnant but feel overwhelmed by the mere thought of it, you’re not alone. It can help to simply break down each step and just do one thing at a time. Pregnancy is nine months long, you don’t have to have everything figured out today.
The first step if you suspect you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test for confirmation. Our center offers free pregnancy tests and our trained staff and volunteers will go over your test results with you confidentially. We will share with you the options and information available to you and what steps you need to take next.
If you are pregnant and you aren’t sure what to do, that’s okay. If your test is positive you have many good options before you, our staff will gladly discuss them, helping you weigh the pros and cons so that you can choose the best option for you and your baby. We have information on parenting–including educational videos for caring for newborns and other parenting skills. We also have information on adoption and can connect you with agencies. We have information on abortion–how they are performed and the long and short term effects they can have. We want to help you make a decision that is best for you and your baby, a decision you can come to thoughtfully, not in desperation, so that you can be certain it is what you want to do.
Pregnancy can feel overwhelming, it can seem like you have to decide everything right now, but you need only take one step at a time. Your first step can be coming in to see us. You’re not alone, we would love to help.
