PREGNANT IN SCHOOL
How could this be possible? You never thought this could happen.
But that little test staring up at you couldn't be clearer: You're pregnant.
This was not a part of the plan.
You're wondering, "Now what? What should I do? Can I even parent a child and go to school at the same time?"
The short answer: Yes. You can.
While parenting in school is difficult, it isn't impossible.
While you may be in tears right now, overwhelmed with anxiety and a consuming fear, I'm here to tell you that you can do this. You can still get your high school diploma or college degree while being a mom.
But how?
Your baby will have needs. Food, clothing, diapers, wipes, a bed, a car seat, the list seems endless…and expensive!
"I don't know how to be a parent! And how do I deal with these changes in my body? What should I eat? What OB-GYN doctors are available? What about a pediatrician after the baby is born?"
Your mind is buzzing with questions and your stomach feels like a cage full of bats.
The first thing to do: Take a deep breath.
And know that we're here for you. At Cross Roads, we have everything your baby needs. Not only can we supply you with material goods, but we also grant you access to pregnancy and parenting classes that equip you to be the best mom that you can be.
Everything at our center is FREE. Give us a call and let us walk with you through this pregnancy.
You are not alone.
